$AMC and $GME — Birds of a feather fly on the wings of #MarketTiming
THE TRADING STRATEGY
Short-term swing trading: When the NYMO turns up, it is time to buy stocks on the next open. When the NYMO turns down it is time to sell stocks on the next open.
Longer-term swing trading: When the NYSI turns up it is time to buy stocks on the next open. When the NYSI turns down, it is time to go to cash or to go short on the next open.
The NYMO and NYSI are both derived from the McClellan Oscillator. They are to my mind the best measures of stock market mass psychology, measuring the swings from fear to greed and back again, and the best indcators of market direction.
Most stocks move best with the market.
Simple as that.
3/28/2022 — End of the day…
My, my, it appears AMC and GME had the “squeeze” it’s WallStreetBets and Reddit worshippers have been dying to see.
AMC sqeezed up 43% today alone, and GME 24%.
Wow.
It doesn’t matter if you believe in these stocks the way the internet “apes” believe. What does matter that one be on the right side of the swing when they have market timing to push their exuberance.
Since this swing began on on the open of 3/16, nine trading days ago, AMC has banked 19.9% on the short-term NYMO signals and GME has banked 13.7%. Repeat, that is money already in the bank.
