I just started following you and happened to read this article. Wonderful. My children are older now and looking back I think we may have overwhelmed them with trying to cater too much to there time and desires instead them overwhelming. I remember telling them my favorite toy when I was a kid was a pan and an stick. Could do kind of things with that - make it a hat, a drum, a trap, have soup in it, anything one could imagine. They all rolled their eyes like I was crazy. I really enjoyed you telling how you played. I worry imagination was not fostered in them, which hopefully is not true because that would be a real tragedy. Anyway, thanks for your keen insights here.
