Yes...alas...

This year's election is likely to be the death of centrist Democrats who have, in the Boomer decades, pretty much lit the match and will leave it to the evil Republicans to burn the country to the ground.

For far too long the Dems have been either ignoring or sabotaging the Progressive wing of the party instead of addressing the needs of the majority of the American people and all the while letting the Republicans maintain minority rule virtually uncontested.

It's probably too late for this year, but if the Dems do not start listening to Bernie and take a hard turn to the left in order to actually be able to run on the policies he's seen in the polls the great majority of Americans want and need, 2024 is going to be ashes for the party and probably the country too.

As Bernie implies in this article the day of the centrist Democrat is done: “You really can’t win an election with a bumper sticker that says: ‘Well, we can’t do much, but the other side is worse.."
